Cost by City (costbycity.ca) is operated by LeadSync Analytics Inc., Calgary, Alberta ("we", "us"). This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and your choices. We follow Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).
What we collect
- Information you give us in the quote form: name, email, phone, city, project type and project details.
- Basic technical data when you visit: pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, and referring site, collected through cookies and analytics tools.
Why we collect it
- To review and respond to your quote request ourselves first, and then, where it fits, refer it to local contractors who can do your project.
- To contact you about your request by email, phone or text, if you have given consent.
- To improve the site's cost information and understand which pages are useful.
Who we share it with
- After we review your request, we may pass it to local contractors who may quote your project. We share only what they need to contact you about that project.
- Service providers who help us run the site and manage leads (such as our website host and our customer relationship software). They may store data outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be subject to local laws.
- We do not sell your personal information to data brokers.
Your consent and choices
- Submitting the quote form means you consent to us using your information as described here.
- You can withdraw consent or unsubscribe at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any message, replying STOP to a text, or emailing info@leadsync.ca.
- You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you.
How long we keep it
We keep quote request information for up to 24 months after our last contact with you, unless the law requires longer, then delete or anonymize it.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards, including access controls and encrypted connections (HTTPS). No system is perfectly secure.
Cookies and analytics
We may use cookies and tools such as Google Analytics and Google Search Console to measure traffic. You can block cookies in your browser settings.
